avatar

Polyphemus, na'vi, omaticaya, unobtanium, and avatar are some of the words that would definitely dig a huge space in our vocabulary after Cameron's movie Avatar shown in theaters...

Wathcing Avatar, I felt sort of the same when I first saw Star Wars, I am amazed, to sum up the feeling. But more than the amazing visual effects and great story, the values this movie perfected is the most attractive of all - Unity, Faith, Love, Peace, Sympathy and Care for the Environment.

I shared one of my friends' feeling when Omaticaya's Hometree was destructed by soldiers, I felt like I am one of them, a na'vi that was left with burned home and hopelessness. The emotions were over pouring that you don't want to see Neytiri and other clan members crying out loud for their lost, an awful event indeed. As some papers stated, this film captured one of America's lost during 9/11 attack, when the twin towers in NYC collapsed, in this point they shared the feeling of loosing one great home and center of power. This also left a question in my mind, what if Philippines experienced the same? How do Filipinos will react? Hmmmm....

Some people and nations especially during the navigation period, are up to exploring vast resources in the world even at the expense of destroying the country, its people and culture. Avatar is so true in bringing back this bad traits even in digital age. At some point especially during Bush administration, I believe that US is scripting war against middle east countries only to have the authority in digging their vast oil reserve. As I was taught during college years, great countries are great because they are good in representing the interest of their country, and so there is nothing impossible when they desire to control power, they will push and pull four sides at the same time to get the factor that will make them powerful. But I hope so this in not true with Obama in the helm... Hmmm..

We could also relate it to some people crashing and destroying natural resources for mining and fishing among others. These activities should come to an end. We are in age where we are more aware of our responsibility to our environment. More laws are created to take care of it, more will to execute it and more people educating people. I smell triumph on this...

I am a liberal and the two most important words I am taught of were freedom and responsibility; two words that are inseparable. Avatar movie also taught you these words, I presume...

As Avatar movie revealed, evil has no space in world, and in the end those who have good intentions will always succeed...

Jamby on Villar and Loren

"Manny talks and money talks louder. I will not subscribe to political prostitution when the country's interest is at stake. Public service is not a numbers game." - Sen. Jamby Madrigal

Ang masasabi ko lang, Villar and Loren espouses "politics of convenience". Pareho silang hunyango...

emotions

sometimes, we feel like so alone...
no one to talk to...
no where to go...
no one but you - alone...

i'm here now
sitting on a sofa
listening to jason mraz songs
and waiting for nothing
and actually doing nothing
what a trash day!

sometimes life is so boring
not challenging
depressing
miserable
tiring...

2010 is our FIGHT!

What we need now is a President with Moral Integrity who will lead us in fighting corruption and evil-driven LAKAS-KAMPI party. We all know that Lakas has thousands of powerful elected officials, but it is nothing compared to millions of respected and concerned Filipinos. It is our time now, we deserve our country now and we will fight now. Let us help Noynoy in making Filipinos PROUD again as Filipinos!
